Omaha High

Omaha High is a variant of the extremely popular Texas Hold’Em style of poker.

Based around community cards, Omaha High uses 4 “hole” or down cards instead of the two used in Texas Hold’Em.

The game starts with blind bets and each player gets 4 cards dealt face down. After another round of bets 3 community cards are dealt in the “flop” Players bet again based on how strong they feel their hand is. A fourth community card called the “fourth street” or “turn” card is dealt.

More bets are placed and then the final card, known as the “fifth street” or “River” card is dealt. Players must then use 2 cards from the hole and three from the community set or “board” to make the best hand possible.
